LABOR OF LOVE

Good morning, I pray that today you are highly blessed and favored by our Lord. Whatever you're going through bad or good, trust God, trust the process.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord (Col. 3:23)

When we focuc on serving God, we're able to accomplish even the most difficult tasks with fervor and gladness in His power and leading. We can then become less concerned with receiving earthly recognition and become more eager to receive the reward only He can provide. (Daily Bread)

I had been looking for a job for over a year, trusting the Lord that He would put me in the right job. I don't drive so the bus route has to be perfect. I cannot do hard labor work, so a warehouse job was not going to cut it.  The perfect job came up for me, I got the interview and the job. It is a transitional housing place for homeless. We call them our guest and just like guest at a hotel they seem to need a lot of care. 

Clean towels, bath items, coats, hats, hand warmers, gloves, toothpaste, toothbrush, combs, mail, etc. almost anything that you can think of, we provide. We even have washers and dryers for our guest. I never had a job that I didn't like but this one was definitely trying me. I didn't have a good attitude going because I was tired of moving around all day.

One day the Lord told me to "change my attitude" He said, "work for me, not for them", that's all I needed to hear. Every day I thank the Lord for my job and whatever the guest ask me for, I do it with a smile. Time goes by a lot faster and changing my attitude makes my job a better place for me to work. The Lord says, change your attitude.

Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me to do good things for You, help me to focus o what You've called me to do, in Jesus' name, Amen.

YOU NEED A SPOTTER

Good morning, I pray that you are blessed and highly favored by the Lord Jesus and allow Him to guide your footsteps and create in you a clean heart and righteous spirit. Acts 2:25-28, "I saw the Lord always before me.  Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.  Therefore, my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in hope, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.  You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with your presence". For games like golf, bow & arrows, and weightlifting you need a spotter.  The spotters' job is that they must have extra eyes.  With golf and bow & arrows, the way the wind is blowing, the temperature, and other things play a huge factor in both.  When lifting weights, you have a spotter standing over you to make sure that you don't hurt yourself and that you can lift the amount of weight that is put on that barbell.  If s...

DON'T CLOSE THAT WINDOW

Good morning my sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus! (Psalms 32:4-5), For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer.
