YOUR PAST, YOUR PRESENT, YOUR FUTURE

(1 Cor. 27) God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong

Good morning, brothers, and sisters in Christ Jesus. My prayer for you is that you are blessed and highly favored as the Lord makes your path straight and easy.

How do you get delivered from your childhood? People find out what you're still struggling with and the first thing the saints say is "Aren't you delivered from that yet?" It's not as simple for some people. It's not that simple for me. It's not like a pack of cigarettes or drugs. Sometimes our past leaks into our present.

I am what we call the middle child of the siblings. My mother had four children, I have one older sister, one younger, and my brother, the oldest. Everyone always says the middle child causes the most trouble, but I don't think so, well maybe.

The day that he moved into our home, for me, the middle sibling curse began. My nose became the brunt of his jokes. He told me that I had the biggest nose that he had ever seen. I was 6 years old; I didn't see anything wrong with my nose, but the joke was that someone must have sat on my nose when I was a baby. Now, this might not seem like much, but it does when you're only 6 and it happens often with everyone laughing at you.

Through my walk with the Lord, Jesus Christ I have found that I was in "spiritual warfare" the moment he moved into my "Safe Haven". People will try to crush your spirit because of the demonic spirit that they are wrestling with. The devil knows who you are in Christ even when you don't. I was being attacked by something that I had no knowledge of at that youthful age.

LET US PRAY! Heavenly Father, thank you for your love, grace, and mercy that keep me from bondage in my heart and mind. Lord as I go about my day, I pray that you strengthen me when I feel weak and create in me a clean and righteous spirit. Thank you for keeping me safe.
